Carlo Gavazzi CA18CA and CA30CA capacitive sensors with IO-Link

Carlo Gavazzi have launched their CA18CA and CA30CA TRIPLESHIELDTM capacitive sensor range complete with integrated IO-Link communication, placing Carlo Gavazzi right at the heart of Industry 4.0.

IO-Link increases the usefulness of traditional sensors by adding functionality, programmability, customisation and offers over half a million combination settings. Allowing real-time data to be acted upon instantly, enhancing your factory automation by giving you the control, you require; as well as reduced stock inventory.

CA18 Family - M18 in a robust PBT housing with an operation of 2-10 mm flush or 3-15 mm non-flush
CA30 Family - M30 in a robust PBT housing with an operation of 2 - 20 mm flush or 4 - 30 mm non-flush
Easy customisation to specific OEM requests
The output can be operated either as a switching output or in IO-Link mode
Fully configurable via output IO-Link v 1.1. Electrical outputs can be configured as PNP / NPN / Push-Pull / External input, normally open or normally closed
Timer functions can be set, such as ON-delay, Offdelay, and one shot
Logging functions: Temperatures, detection counter, power cycles and operating hours
Detection modes Single point, Two point and window mode
Analogue output: In IO-Link mode the sensor will generate 16 bit analogue process data output representing the dielectric value measured by the sensor
